HHHi Web Masters,

I am sure you are aware that the Pan Africa Hash 2015 event was postponed from Sierra Leone due to unavoidable circumstances and viagra in the uk after going back to the bids presented in Ghana, Kenya was awarded the chance to host the event.

Subsequently, Nairobi was planning to celebrate its 2000th Anniversary run at the end of July. It was then deemed appropriate to combine the two events. The Mismanagement assisted by previous NH3 event organizers and GM's started  putting up this event together since January. We now have our website up and running www.panafricahash2015.co.ke and urge everyone to register for the event online.

The most suitable venue agreed upon for the Pan Africa Hash 2015 event will be in a small town at the Kenyan Coast known as "Malindi" which lies at the centre of a strip of idyllic tropical beaches offering the visitor a range of world class resorts and quiet relaxing hideaways. Further south, the sleepy village of Watamu is fronted by wide white beaches and activities for divers and snorkelers alike.

Northwest of Malindi is the spectacular Marafa Depression, locally known as Nyari and viagra without prescription uk popularly known as Hell’s Kitchen. An extensive series of sandstone gorges and sheer gullies, this unique and other worldly landscape has become part of local folklore where some of our beautiful planned trails will be during the Pan Africa Hash 2015. The thick jungles of the Arabuko Sokoke Forest reserve hide a world of wonders. In the cool of the forest winding paths will take you in search of rare endemic birds and mammals, and visiting herds of Elephant and again some enticing running trails have been established there.

We plan to have our charity "Red Dress" run right in the historical town of Malindi which is one of few towns in Kenya with a rich historical past dating back to the 14th Century, thanks to its role for many centuries as an important trading post on the East African coast .

The Red Dress Run starting at the Coral Keys Hotel will showcase this heritage, starting with the iconic Vasco Da Gamma Pillar built in 1499 at the height of Portuguese influence on the town. Another landmark to watch out for on the trail is the Portuguese Church built in the 16th century believed to be the first Christian Church in East Africa.

Along the way will be the Malindi Museum, built in the 19th Century. An interesting place we’ll be filling past is Malindi old Town with ancient Swahili and Arabic houses and the unique fishing Pier where local fishermen boast and cialis professional display their catch of the day.

On the question of Security, the Kenyan Government has assured its citizens and visitors of the efforts being made to curb the current situation on terrorist attacks and keep everyone safe. Nairobi HHH has also taken the best measures to ensure that we shall have a safe event with ample security.

To make this a truly Pan African event, we urge you as the Web Masters of www.hhhworldevents.org and www.harriermagazine.com toassist us in marketing. All details on the website.

Kindly ask wankers to come support this event and best of all, join us in celebrating our 2000th Anniversary run.

Please get back to us in case of any query.

Indochina Mekong Hash will be 6-8 November 2015 in Myanmar. The now traditional Full Moon Run will be on Monday, 9 November.

The committee is busy working on a budget, which is yet to be finalized and so, for the present no registration price has been announced, but the cost is expected that it will be similar to that charged for recent Mekong Indochina Hashes.

Long time hashman Bob “Bobo” Thomas, organizer of the two previous Mekong Indochina Hashes in Myanmar is heading up the organizing committee, and Fun Size Kit Kat is the secretariat.

AN OPEN LETTER REGARDING PAN ASIA HASH 2015 – PODICHERRY, INDIA

From Roy McManus- Lofty-South of Perth, Australia

Dear Hasher,

Given the debacle of Pan Asia Hash 2013, some interested hashers maybe considering whether or not to attend Pan Asia Hash 2015 (PAH 2015) in Pondicherry. They may have already decided to boycott the 2015 event; or even future Pan Asia events.  Given that, during a recent trip to India we visited Pondicherry to meet with the PAH 2015 Committee and Project Manager to assess the event’s preparedness.

Even though at seven months before the event, we were impressed with the registration and party venues; the event program; the sponsorship arrangements and the general progress of preparations. Given the professional approach and level of planning for PAH 2015, it should deliver a quality and value for money event for all attending hashers.

Pondicherry is the former French colony on the south east coast of India.  The heritage French district (White Town) of the city stretches several kilometres along the coast and inland for about four to five street blocks. The registration venue (ShenbagaHotel and Convention Centre- http://shenbagahotel.com/index.html) is located near the city’s night market area; adjacent to White Town.

The Shenbaga Hotel only opened in December 2014.The hotel’s convention centre has plenty of space and facilities for hash registration, hash bazaar and importantly the hash bar.  The hotel’s separate accommodation building uses an atrium style layout; with the majority of upper floor rooms having either city or ocean views.  Standard double or king rooms have typical business hotel features, separate bathroom and good wi-fi. There is a swimming pool and bar on the roof.  We stayed at the Shenbaga Hotel during our recent visit and were impressed with the level of service and food.

The Le Pondy Resort - http://lepondy.com/, the party and after run venue, is located south of Pondicherry’s city district. The resorts grassed beach area, alfresco dining area and pool is an ideal location for staging the Friday and Saturday run parties.  The facilities and catering are excellent. Buses will transport hashers to and from the PAH 2015’s city bus depot to the resort. The city bus depot is a 10 minute walk from the Shenbaga Hotel.  The intention is for some runs to start and finish from Le Pondy Resort.

As Pondicherry is situated on the seaside, the topography is typical low lying coastal plain. The running terrain comprises beach, wet-lands, secondary jungle, plantation trees, rice paddies, villages and small lakes with migratory birds. There are definitely no hills!  However, for the hash purist, there is plenty of “shiggy”; as the planned ball-breaker run will testify.

PAH 15’s program is a little different than normal. A charity run will be held on the Friday, prior to the opening party at the Le Pondy Resort. The normal short, medium, long and ball-breaker runs will be held on the Saturday. However, on Sunday, as is normal in Indian hash events, a recovery run will be held in the morning, followed by lunch and partying until the Kingfisher beer runs out. A big win for the event is having the Kingfisher Brewery and Pepsi as the beer and non-alcoholic beverage sponsors.

Another contributing sponsor is PAH 2015’s appointed travel agent Parveen Holidays - This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. Apart from assisting with your Pondicherry accommodation bookings and transfers, Parveen Holidays can arrange pre or post event tours throughout India. Why not get a hash group together and travel before or after PAH 2015 to visit - Agra to see the Taj Mahal; Delhi and the forts of Rajasthan and Jodhpur; Kerala to sail the Backwaters; or Aurangabad to see the Ajanta and Ellora Caves.

If you have ever thought about visiting India; then PAH 2015 provides the perfect “introductory” opportunity to visit “Incredible India”®.If you haven’t already, then seriously consider attending PAH 2015.  Check out the PAH 2015’s website at http://www.panasiapondy.com/web/guest/home

The Danube Hash River Cruise, which is set as a Postlube to Eurohash 2015, is the second Hash River Cruise set up by Mu-Sick. The first hash river cruise that was set up by Mu-Sick,  was after the Brussels Beer Odyssey in 2014. This was also an 8 day Hash River Cruise, but it went up the Rhine River from Amsterdam to Basel, Switzerland. Everyone enjoyed the daily escorted tours, the fine cuisine, the six hash runs, and the free beer, mimosas, champagne, and wine on board so much that we decided to do another one.

Some hashers have told me about previous hash river cruises set up by Wolf, before he passed away, but no one stepped forward to set up one after Brussels. So I did, and I am very grateful. Viking cruises has been very helpful in giving us special group rate discounts on this and the previous cruise: discounts that make the cruise less expensive than travel agents, or first time or repeat customers can get themselves.

The Danube River Hash Cruise is an 8 day all-inclusive hash event on board the Viking Ship Legend sailing and hashing through 4 countries to Passau, Germany. This PostLube event is being offered after Eurohash 2015 and goes from Budapest on 26 July cruises through 4 countries, and finishes in Passau, Germany, cruising down the Danube River. The cruise includes 3 meals per day, champagne & mimosas for breakfast, beer & wine with lunch & dinner, 6 day tours, 5 hash runs, and you don’t have to pack your bags each day! Prices start at $2556 per person with additional $200 discount for past guests. These Prices are good through 28 Feb 2015. You can call Melanie at 888-663-8454 Ext 8057 or email her at Melanie.Eslava@Viking cruises.Com Refer to Booking #2407732.

If you are in the UK or a commonwealth country other than Canada you need a European (non-UK) or North American address to get the discount prices; contact Mu-Sick for quotations on this.  For those of you in Commonwealth countries, if it is less expensive to book locally, then you can just pay a $100 rego fee to Mu-Sick and enjoy all the hashes, the giveaway, etc. In order to confirm your reservation,  you need to put your $500 per person deposit. The Balance is due in 30 days. Even after you pay your entire amount, you can still cancel up until 3 April 2015 and only forfeit $100. If you elect to buy the travel insurance, then you can cancel at anytime up and until14 days prior to sailing and receive all of your money back. For more information on the Viking Ship Legend which we will be cruising on you can visit the Viking Cruise’s website at www.vikingrivercruises.com.

The fascination with river cruises vs ocean cruises is quite interesting. I have personally done 21 hash cruises on the ocean. But on a River Cruise, you get to see beautiful historic scenery everyday and see it all the time during the day, you get to hash and visit a different place every day, take a guided tour each day, don’t have to worry about the weather or sea state stopping or diverting you, and many of the places have their own hash club which we can join and run with.

Many times, when hashers travel a long way to a large hash event, they want to take advantage of being in that area and want to experience the area. Bus tours have been fun, but the drudgery of packing and unpacking each day are eliminated on a River Cruise.

In 2016 we will be looking to do another Hash River Cruise in Southeast Asia around IH2016 in Bali. Hopefully the year after in 2017 we can look at doing one up the Amazon River. For More info, just see

The 17th Mongolia Sunrise to Sunset 42k and 100k ultra trail run takes place in the week of 1-8 August 2015. Early bird travel packages are available until March 1st on www.ms2s.org!

Mongolia (28 January 2015) – In August 2015, for the 17th time already, adventure seeking runners from all over the world will gather at the shores of Lake Hovsgol in Northern Mongolia for a very special experience: the Mongolia Sunrise to Sunset 42k and 100k ultra trail marathon. Until March 1st, 2015, runners can book a discounted early bird travel package on the event website www.ms2s.org. “It is a whole week of exploration with horseback riding, kayaking, hiking, fishing, sleeping in traditional Mongolian Gers – and of course running”, says race director Nicolas Musy.

The race on August 5th will be as challenging as it is beautiful. Runners pass by yak herds and wild horses, shamanistic Ovoos as well as Mongolian yurts and horsemen, in one of the most pristine and spectacular areas on this planet. Amongst participants, the race is known as the world’s most beautiful 42k and 100k run. A lakeside single track through woods and over windblown lowlands; steep, rocky mountain passes with breath-taking views; river valleys and marshy forests; seas of wildflowers. The accumulated elevation gain/loss for the marathon distance is 2.255 meters, for the 100k course it is 3.365 meters.

Preserving the National Park

The Mongolia Sunrise to Sunset is organised on a non-profit basis. All proceeds are used to keep Hovsgol National Park pristine and to support the culture of the local population via the “ecoLeap foundation” registered in Geneva, Switzerland. Nicolas Musy: “It is not only the pristine nature that makes this part of the world so special. It is also the unique culture of the nomads and their way of life. The nomads should be proud of their abilities and culture.”

The main Hashes in South India - Bangalore Hash, Hyderabad Hash and the Madras Hash - all started in 1990.  A few years ago, each of the the three hashes celebrated their 20th anniversary individually with great aplomb, with many of us attending all 3 events.

This time for the Silver Jubilee in 2015, the three Hashes are planning to get together for a grand celebration of Hashing.  This is the first time that so many Hashers from India will be mismanaging a huge event.

The Silver Jubilee Celebration of Hashing in South India will be a 3 night - 4 day weekend.  One day and night mismanaged by each of the three Hashes and the whole event put together jointly.  If each of them can pull off memorable Nash Hashes, can you imagine what chaos their combined effort will result in?

It is now time to Register.  Early Bird Regos will be kept open till end 2014.  The warn ins from the earlier "Save the Date" mailers has been overwhelming.  Madras Hashers who no longer live in Chennai, and those who attended Nash Hashes at Araku and Vythiri, account for a hundred of them.  If we add the regular Hashers from India, the total number will shoot up. We want to keep our event cosy, with hard core hashers who have bonded with each other over the years, and we will keep the numbers to a level where Mismanagement will not be crazy.  Regos will close as soon as someone swoons and says “This is more than we can handle”.

Visit www.madrashash.com or more specifically, http://www.madrashash.com/silver-jubilee-of-hash to Register.

Summary:

Venue: The best place to stay in Kodaikanal.  Fully booked for Hashers.

Stay plus all you can eat and all the beer you can drink. On all days.

H A S H E R S!

We regret to finally announce that the Pan Africa Hash 2015 in Freetown, Sierra Leone, has fallen victim to the Ebola Virus Disease Pandemic in West Africa. After monitoring the situation over the last few months, we have come to the conclusion that it will not be possible to host the PAH in 2015. While there are hopeful signs of getting the EVD under control in some of the worst hit districts in the country the situation in Freetown proper and the surrounding Western Area and a few other districts are still not safe.

So far we have more than 160 registrations for the PAH2015.

    We propose the following:

The Freetown HHH will host the PAH 2017. We keep the registrations we received for the Freetown PAH 2015. For hashers who will not be able to come in 2017 we will make arrangements to sell registrations as soon as new registrations come in. For those, who wish to withdraw immediately we will reimburse the registration fee at 90% minus the cost of money transfer. This is because we have already spent money on preparations and promotional activities.

This opens up the opportunity for other African HHH kernels to step in to host the PAH2015 at a suitable time in 2015.
We regret the inconveniences and ask all hashers to bear with us.
ON! ON! PAH 2015! Please, come forward to step in!

On behalf of the PAH 2015 cum 2017 Organizing Committee
