panasiapondyUpdates are Here!

We are up and running! Please see the list of updates below.

    More info:

Hello again Pan Philippine Nash Hashers,

We now have over 120 hashers signed up for this prestigious event and the rate of sign-ups is increasing rapidly as we approach the end of the year. We estimate that the final number will be around 200. Our policy for now is ‘the more the merrier’ so please encourage your friends to sign up too before the rate increases on 31 December and we have to commit to a final number for the catering contracts.

All of the venues associated with the event have now been finalized and are as follows:

    Wed. Thur. Fri. 18/19/20 March

    Brass Knob bar/restaurant, A.C.

    Registration, information & goody bags

    Thur. 19 March

    Stotsenberg hotel, Clark Air Base

    On home

    Fri. 20 March

    Josefaville 2 Community Center* A.C.

    On home

    Sat. 21 March

    Centennial Park,

    Clark Air Base*

On home for recovery run/walk brunch

*Both of these events will be catered out by Brettos restaurant & deli, Angeles.

A detailed timetable for these events will be issued a bit nearer the date.

Local hashers will be familiar with both the Stotsenberg hotel and Brettos restaurant & deli. The Stotsenberg is a large, quality hotel on the Base and we have negotiated a good deal with them to provide a buffet dinner for us on the Thursday evening. They have allocated us a large grassy area at the rear of the hotel which includes an obstacle course for those who have any energy left after the runs.

Brettos have been selected as the outside caterers for the Friday evening and Saturday lunchtime on-homes. They have an excellent reputation as a high-class deli and provided us with a good range of menus from which we have selected the food for these two days. Friday evening will be a BBQ meal by the pool in Josefaville 2 sub-div. community center and Saturday brunch will be from a selection of breakfast menus catered out at the Centennial Park on Base.

Transport will be available at regular intervals to take hashers back into the center of Angeles.

    Goody Bags

A lot of thought and effort has gone into the selection of items for the goody bags and these are now in production with a quality manufacturer in Dagupan, northern Luzon.

The trails for the Thursday runs will be in the hills around Malasa, a small village about 25 km north-west of Angeles and a satellite of barrio DapDap. There will be a ball-breaker run of around 20 km and then medium and short trails that will feed onto the ball-breaker trail, so that they all finish at the same point.

The Friday trails will be in the hills around Porac, a small town around 20 km south-west of Angeles. There will be long, medium and short trails which will all finish at the same location so that there can be a joint circle, as with Thursday’s run.

The recovery run/walk on Saturday morning will be on Base near the Parade Ground and will finish in Centennial Park where Brettos will be catering the brunch.

Jeepneys will be the main form of personnel transport for the event and Subic Bay H3 have kindly offered the use of their flat-bed truck and large cool boxes for transportation of beverages.

    Red Dress Run

At the time of writing we already have 53 hashers signed up for the Red Dress Run, so we’ll probably end up with more than 80. No lesser hasher than Proposition has kindly volunteered to lead this event and I understand he can’t wait to show off his new 8”high-heel boots. We are now approaching a number of local bar owners seeking sponsorship for the two charities we are supporting with the proceeds of the run.

    Associated Events

First, a correction to our last update, instead of the men-only, Wolf Pack run that was planned for the evening of Wednesday 18 March, Wild Wolf/Proposition is now arranging a 4-day hash bash in Puerto Galera the week after the Pan Philippines Nash Hash 2015. Full details may be found here:

For the hike to the top of Mount Arayat on Wednesday 18 March, Jeepneys will leave Angeles at 10 00 hrs. The departure location will be advised later. It takes about 45 minutes to get to the start point of the hike and about 2 hours to hike to the top. This is a fairly onerous hike and participants need to be reasonably fit.

On Sunday 22 March Angeles City Hash will be doing their normal run, start time 2:30 PM from Margarita Station, and on Monday 23 March Subic Bay Hash will be doing theirs, see here for info.

    Detailed Program

A further update with a more detailed program will follow in the next couple of months. The details will also appear on the ACH3 website, which can be found here: the “2015 Pan Philippines Nash Hash” banner. Meanwhile encourage your friends to sign up before it’s too late to participate in this magnificent event!
